A commission for North Lanarkshire Council to develop an artwork for the Eastfield Underpass at Auchinbee Way, Cumbernauld in collaboration with local primary school children. Primary 7 classes from St Andrews, Cumbernauld and Eastfield Primary Schools developed pattern designs in response to handling pieces of my own work and exploring images of decorated buildings from around the world. The artwork was painted between the 25th May – 3rd June and all P7 classes made site visits during the week to inspect the work and hand out leaflets about the project to the local community. Painting was assisted by Rocca Gutteridge , Craig Mitchell and Stephen McGarry, and volunteers from The Cumbernauld Cultural Forum and Local Cumbernauld Councillors.
